Anette Karls Job of Billings passed away at St. Vincent Healthcare after a complicated surgery on April 13, 2023.
Anette was born on July 23, 1964, to Wesley and Roxie Karls of Billings. While attending Billings Central High School (Class of 1982), she also completed broadcasting school in her junior year. She became a DJ at KIDX 98.5, working her way through school and earning an Associate Degree in Communications from Eastern Montana College.
Anette met the love of her life, Brad Job, on July 11, 1986. They wed precisely one year later and together went on to welcome two wonderful sons, Zane and Dylan.
Anette loved the color purple, bargain shopping, new purses, popcorn, and red gummy fish. She watched her favorite TV shows on Wednesday evenings and spent many sunny days on her favorite porch swing. She loved her fur babies, Piper and Mya; she often cuddled up in her favorite chair with each by her side.
Her home was always organized and tidy, just how Anette liked things. She had a green thumb, and her house plants were always beautiful. Her garden always produced an abundance of her favorite, zucchini; every spring, her favorite flower, tulips, made a beautiful appearance. She enjoyed baking, and her pies were legendary. Her homemade pie crust was always a family favorite.
She was also a devoted mother who kept her family connected and close, especially as she and Brad's sons grew up. She even presented her original wedding diamond to her son Zane to propose to her daughter-in-law, Cassie. Spending quality time with her boys and grandchildren was always a highlight of her day. She was so proud of them and never hesitated to share stories and photos of them with friends and co-workers.
Most of all, however, Anette dearly loved her husband. The couple loved spending quality time together, and there wasn't a lot that they didn't do without one another.
Anette became a medical biller, perfect for her “get things done” personality. At the time of her passing, she worked for Misner Chiropractic Center and thoroughly loved the part-time job that allowed her to spend more time with her granddaughter, Gianna (GiGi). She would work ½ a day and then pick up her ‘best friend' from daycare, and the two would enjoy time together. Mimi and GiGi time was very special to them both.
Over the last few years, Anette struggled with pain due to rheumatoid arthritis. Now she is free of pain.
Anette was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Beverley Nicholson, and her sister-in-law, Judy Karls. She is survived and will be missed by her husband, Brad; her brothers, Ray (Gail) Karls, Phil Karls, and Dan Karls; her brother-in-law, Tom Nicholson; her two children, Zane (Cassie) Job, and Dylan Job; her grandchildren Charlotte and Gianna; and nieces/nephews Adam, Wendy, Simon, Samantha (Aron), little Adam, Tavish; and many extended beloved family members.
A Mass will be held on April 26, 2023, at 11 am, at St. Pius X Parish Catholic Church, 717 18th Street West, Billings, MT, with a luncheon to follow the service. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery at approximately 1:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, a college fund has been established for her two grandchildren at First Interstate Bank. Donations can be made at any branch under the account name Anette Job Grandchildren and providing the last four of the account number, 4967. If using a check please make payable to Brad Job.
