Judith Shaw

Judy grew up on a farm in Iowa but her life was far from simple. She was a hard worker, athletic, played piano and sang. Judy met Clifford at church camp where her father-in-law was impressed watching her throw a baseball and encouraged Clifford to get to know her. Judy's life was characterized by God, serving the church, her hospitality to innumerable church members, neighbors, missionaries and countless others. Her pantry was always stocked and a bed was available to those in need. Judy was a phenomenal homemaker & hostess, emphasized education, and held roles of teacher & chief administrator at the school Clifford & Judy started, Moss Bluff Christian School in Louisiana, as well as further substitute teaching positions later in life. She was intentional about teaching Biblical truth to others, especially children, & coordinated multiple VBS events, starting in Moss Bluff communities, ensuring children & families were invited to know Jesus. Judy also taught English & Communications at Platte Valley Bible College in Nebraska while raising 5 children & sponsored many college mission trips. Her time in Colorado focused on homemaking and providing childcare for church members. Judy was willing to fill in the gaps where needed. She cared for her father-in-law, moving him into her home in the year before his passing. During her 23 years in Montana, she hosted weekly small group & annual holiday gatherings, most notably the Christmas White Elephant Party. She enjoyed reading, drinking tea, detective shows, teaching little children songs about Jesus and had a not-so-secret delight of sweets. Judy was the driving force behind Clifford's ministry and co-led yearly mission trips to aid church communities around the world & provide renewal for missionaries. In all these things and more, Judy simultaneously poured out her own ministry to the world. Her service for God's Kingdom will not be forgotten as she has graduated to Heaven & her legacy extends on through her family and those ministered to.
