Obituary
Benjamin Joseph Henneberry was born to his parents, Ambrose and Muriel Henneberry. He grew up in Dillon until he moved to Billings in about 1949. He attended Billings Central High School and was a member of Central's first graduating class that had attended all four years. He was also a standout running back for Central the year they won the State Championship.
He married Jeanette Bertram in 1954, and together they had four children. Ben worked as a meat cutter for most of his life. He worked for Safeway for many years, opening up new stores, which took him to cities in Wyoming and Montana. In his early years, he also owned a restaurant, two convenience stores, and two meat packing plants. He was also president of the JCs in Powell Wyoming.
In his later years, he sold real estate. After retiring, he went back to work driving a school bus and delivering mail.
IN 1987, he married Regina Stoltz and was married to her until her death thirty-four years later.
The man loved to work and golf, and he loved watching football. He also enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports.
He was very involved with St. Pius X Church, not just attending mass but also taking communion to the sick in hospitals and nursing homes. He also had a radio program where he read scriptures to the blind. He was a kind man with a wicked Irish sense of humor. He made many friends over his lifetime.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents, brother William, and sisters Shirley Thompson, Carol Thompson, and Rosie Henneberry. He is survived by his children, Terry (Michelle) Henneberry, Timothy Henneberry, Mary (Steve) Krieger, and Tina (Than) Christman, sisters Mona Dixon, Royleen Goulter, and Patty Getz, 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at Skyline Heights Nursing and Rehab for the years of care they gave our dad.
