Terry, Mary, Tim, and Tina, I treasure the memories I hold that involve Uncle Ben, Uncle Bill, Aunt Shirley, and my Mom, Caryl. I always looked forward to your Dad's visits, his wonderful sense of humor, his insights, and his no-BS viewpoint. I think of him with great fondness and respect. Our prayers go out to each of Ben's children as you grieve, console and share laughter over the memories of your dad. We love that you chose a photo from his football days to headline his obituary. My mom had many sports clippings of her brother's football prowess, and as a child, I would read these with intensity and pride in my uncle's athletic ability. It wasn't until I was older that I came also to appreciate Ben's wry sense of humor. It's been 12 years since we shared a laugh with our Uncle Ben; fortunately, we have fond memories of past get-togethers surrounded by wild hysterics brought on by his creative use of satire.
