With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Laura White on February 10, 2025. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness, love, and strength touched all who knew her.
Laura was born on July 18, 1956, in Billings, Montana, to Amelia and Reinhold Bentz. She grew up in Billings and graduated from West High School, forming lifelong friendships along the way.
Laura built a long and dedicated career with the State of Montana, where she worked for many years before retiring. Never one to slow down, she later worked for Hertz Car Sales in Billings before moving to Florida, where she became a Law Office Administrator at Keller Law in Punta Gorda. She was known for her candor, sharp wit, and ability to anticipate what needed to be done. Those who worked with her appreciated her quick humor, no-nonsense approach, and genuine care for the people around her.
Laura was known not only for her warmth but also for her unshakable tenacity. She faced life's challenges head-on, never backing down from adversity. Whether navigating professional hurdles, supporting loved ones, or fighting through difficult times, she did so with incredible strength, determination, and grace. She had a deep-rooted resilience, always rising above struggles with courage and an unwavering spirit.
On May 8, 1998, Laura married Tim White in Red Lodge, Montana, and together they built a life filled with love, adventure, and endless laughter. Whether camping in the mountains or getting up early to sit by the ocean, they found joy in simply being together. No matter where they were, they were always laughing—sharing inside jokes, teasing each other, and finding humor in the little things. Their days were filled with lighthearted moments and genuine happiness, making every experience together richer and more meaningful.
Many cherished memories with Laura were centered around food—not because she loved making it, but because it was a way to bring family and friends together. Some of the best times with her were simply sharing meals at home or at her favorite Mexican restaurants, creating moments of laughter and connection.
Laura co-pastored at several churches alongside her husband, sharing encouragement and faith with those around her. A talented musician, she found joy in leading worship and singing, using music to inspire and uplift those around her. Though ministry and music were an important part of her life, it was her kindness, generosity, and steadfast love for her family that truly defined her.
Laura is survived by her brother, Dave Bentz, her husband, Tim White, and their children: Elisabeth Nethery (husband Daniel), Joshua White, Samantha Zimmerman (wife Joanna Meza), and Moriah Martin. She was also a loving grandmother to Isaac, Israel, Jack, Thomas, and Gabriel.
Her love extended beyond people—she had an immense heart for animals. Her beloved cats, Milo and Delilah, were among her greatest joys.
To honor Laura's deep compassion for animals, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter, 1735 Monad Rd, Billings, MT 59101, in lieu of flowers.
Laura White's kindness, humor, and sincerity will forever be cherished by those who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
