Susan Louise Enemy Hunter

Susan Louise LaForge Enemy Hunter died on February 27, 2023, in Billings. 'Uutte Bia “Weasel Woman” was born July 4, 1974, the daughter of Alex Jr. (Janice) LaForge and Roberta Stops. She was an enrolled member of the Apsalooke Nation and was born into the Big Lodge Clan and a child of the Piegan Clan. Susan grew up in Lodge Grass and graduated there in 1992. She was an excellent athlete and scholar, as a member of the Cross-country Team, State Track Team with accomplishments as an All-State Runner in the Top Ten (for the 100-meter, 200-meter, and team relay), and the 91-92 Girls' Basketball Team (the first in the Lodge Grass Girl's history to make it to state). She was a member of the Honor Society, and the National Business Partners of America representing LG in Washington DC. She attended Bacone College in Muskogee, OK, May Technical College of Billings receiving an Associate degree in Paralegal Studies, and Arizona School of Massage Therapy receiving a Certificate as a Massage Therapist.

As a traditional woman, Susan participated in the sweat lodge, peyote meetings, and sundance ceremonies. She treasured time with the family picking wild berries and roots, going on hunting trips, butchering and cleaning game in the river, and preparing traditional foods.

Susan was a successful businesswoman who owned a trucking company and had contracts for road work in Arizona and had a private massage practice where she provided massage treatments to family, friends, and those close to her. Her last employment was at Ez Money Check Cashing as a bank teller.

While she had her struggles in life, Susan was a strong woman that never up and persevered to be a better woman. She offered love and compassion, free of judgment, as she herself desired those affections in her own life. Susan was a caring friend that provided a place to stay, meals, rides, and talks that have helped those in need. Her many friends who have contacted the family can attest to her kind and thoughtful support.

Susan is survived by her daughter Tesha Williams, sons Isaac Lieb, Rolando Jr. and Alex Comacho, and Lazane LaForge-Guzman, Grandchildren, Armando “Bugsy” Springfield, Asa Lieb, James, Alexandrea, Droshawn, Antonio, Talicia, Azalea, Cordelia, Aja, Mariaya LaForge, Frankie Bacon, Brothers Daniel (Sylvia), Alexander III, Sean “Jumbo” and Chad LaForge, and Loren Big Leggings, Sisters Dawn Littlewolf, Kim Cribbs, Star “Sandy” Wilson. Mother Jan (Marty) Flanagan, Aunts Colleen Gordon, Vaschelle LaForge, Valerie Powers, and Beldean Plainfeather. Uncles Aaron, and Tom LaForge, Jay and Randy Powers, Lansing Crooked Arm, and James Ruegsegger. Sisters/Cousins Patricia Dust, Mellanie Old Bull, Jana Walks, Deana Enemy Hunter, Lavora, Adrian, Olivia and Elizabeth LaForge, Yvette Lopez and Vanessa Faller, and Jackie Medicine Horse, Brothers/Cousins Kirt and Ceivert LaForge, Les and Tyler Left Hand, Terry Enemy Hunter, William, Kenny and Thomas Spint.

Extended families include LaForge, Enemy Hunter, Bullshows, Bearcrane, Yellowmule, Beaumont, Birdinground, TakesHorse, Old Elk, Alden, Whiteman, Sungoesslow, Dillion, Shane, Simpson, Redwolf, Stops, Powers, Little Light, Blackhawk, the late Mae LaForge, Joe LaForge, Gladys Pease Family, Cordelia Real Bird Family, Nathelle Jefferson, Lillian Bullshows-Hogan Family, and William Russell Family, and many more. Please forgive us in our time of grief for anyone we have forgotten to include.
