Margaret Jorgenson

Margaret E. Jorgenson, age 89, passed away peacefully Monday August 30, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was born January 22, 1932 in Miles City, Montana to Patrick and RoseEllen Murnion and was the fourth of eight children. She grew up in Jordan and graduated high school in 1950. She went on to attend Presentation School of Nursing completing her registered nursing degree in 1954. She began her nursing career at Roundup Memorial Hospital and continued working in her chosen profession until the age of 82. As a nurse, Marge always showed compassion and love not only for her patients, but also for everyone she knew and cared for. It was in Roundup where she met the love of her life Robert (Bob) Jorgenson. After a six-month courtship, they were married on October 13, 1956 in Roundup at St. Benedict's Catholic Church. From this union, they were blessed with four beautiful daughters. Marge was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was happiest when she was entertaining family and her numerous friends and especially loved the times she was able to have her whole family together in her home. Marge had a servant's heart and was known for her cooking, her hospitality, her generosity, and her deep faith that she lived out every day of her life. Marge's faith was the center of her life. She was a devoted member of St. Benedict's for many years and was very involved in the activities of the church including singing and playing her guitar in the women's choir. Marge also enjoyed sewing, china painting, and playing cards with her friends. She was a very stylish lady and took great pride in her appearance enjoying her weekly trips to Billings to get her hair styled. One of her great joys in life, especially when Bob was alive, was traveling to watch her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sporting events. They were their biggest fans in the stands and loved the social aspect of it, especially the tailgating. They often said watching those games were the highlight of their week. Marge is survived by her four daughters Rona (Chester) Meyer from Ekalaka, Montana and their children, Caradee (Wes) Mulder, Wacey Meyer, Shaelyn (Josh) Bauer, Ches (Jessica) Meyer, Jordan (Savanna) Meyer; Shannon (Doug) Robison from Billings, Montana and their children Shadra, Shane, and Danny Robison; Sheila (Dan) Brewer from Melstone, Montana and their children Marissa and Brock Soderberg; and Dana (Marty) Thomsen from Lethbridge, Alberta and their children Katelyn and Cameron Thomsen; as well as six great-grandchildren; her sisters Patsy Murnion and Maureen (Vince) Marko of Great Falls, Montana and her brother Jimmy (Betty Jean) Murnion of Canton, Texas and sister-in-law Mary Alice Murnion of Jordan, Montana; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Bob of 62 years, her parents Patrick and RoseEllen Murnion, as well as her siblings Mary Alice Currey, John D. Murnion, Anne Habel and Corrine Nevala. Vigil service will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 at 7 pm at St. Benedict's Catholic Church with funeral service to be held Saturday September 11, 2021 at 10:30 am with burial to follow at Roundup Cemetery east of Roundup. A luncheon will follow in the basement of the church. Family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at St. Vincent Hospital especially Dr. Neal Sorensen and Dr. Michael Ganz for the loving care provided to Marge. Your care and compassion shown to Marge was so greatly appreciated. We would also like to thank her many friends, too numerous to mention, for all of the love, care and acts of kindness they showered her with. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Musselshell County Ambulance Service, St. Benedict Catholic Church or a charity of one's choice.
