We had the good fortune of meeting both Stella and “Ziggy” Ziegler at their daughter Judy McGrath’s home in Chappaqua a few years ago. They were both incredible people. We send our heartfelt condolences to the family and this difficult time. God bless the Ziegler family and may Stella’s memory be full of joy, laughter and Love. With warmest personal regards. Stella hired me in 1990 to work for her at the bakery. I walked in for a sesame seed, bagel and cream cheese. It was my first legal job as a teenager. Just a few years later I met Ziggy in prison ministry. The running joke was “did you steal Stella’s pan?!” He loved her sooo much and she really loved her Ziggy. They were such wonderful people. It was just last year that we took this picture together 35 years later.

Stella was a gentle and smart woman that taught many employers in our community to see the value in hiring formerly incarcerated people. Stella and Ziggy were business pillars that gave so much back to our community. She will be missed by many, including me.

I always admired the Ziegler family!! You could feel their love for each other and their passion for the lord Jesus. They were just fun people to be around. Positive, Graceful energy. The world needs more people like this couple and more families like theirs! Rest well Jim and Stella! M. Kuehn Heckel

I dealt with the Zieglers in the Food Business for many years. They were great people and we had many good times together. She was a fantastic host. We had dinner with them a couple times. She will be missed in this Community.
