Timothy Hall

February 26, 1957 - September 30, 2025

Obituary

Timothy James Hall was born on February 26, 1957, in Rawlins, Wyoming, to Gene and Beatrice Hall. His brother Mike joined the family 1 ½ years later and then sister Patty completed the family.

Tim met and married Steffanie, the love of his life, in 1996.  Family and friends celebrated with them at their beautiful wedding at First Alliance Church. His first love and devotion was for his Lord Jesus Christ.  Immediately close to that was his love and care for his family. He was always ready to help anyone, even way beyond his family.

Tim was brilliant in so many areas: he was our IT guy, car and trailer repair expert, home maintenance wizard. There were few challenges that he couldn’t tackle.  Volunteering tirelessly at his church in many areas, he built strong friendships and enjoyed great camaraderie. Tim served as an elder with discernment and love.

From 1994-2015 he was an electrical supervisor at Exxon. There Tim was greatly esteemed and appreciated by his co-workers.

Steff and Tim, with their devoted Golden Retriever Saylor, enjoyed trailer camping, especially in the Big Horn Mountains. Through the years, they often were joined by family. Tim was a campfire master. But the Oregon coast was truly their happy place. They were dedicated beachcombers, particularly delighted when they found agates and sand dollars.

Tim lived out this godly exhortation in Micah 6:8 – ”But what does the Lord require of you, oh man, but to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

The night of September 30, 2025, on that high mountain Tim and Steff both loved, he stepped into eternity, where he met Jesus Christ his Savior - “In the presence of the Lord is fullness of joy” (Psalm 16:11).

Living to honor his legacy are his loving wife Steffanie; children Casey (Sasha), Nick (Carri), Jeremiah, Brad (Nancy), Amber; 17 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and one on the way.  And many, many extended family members and friends.

If you wish to give a memorial gift to honor Tim, please send it to: Dahl Funeral Chapel, c/o Steffanie Hall, 10 Yellowstone Ave, Billings, Montana

I had the honor of knowing Tim from our many years at Exxon Refinery. I was never more impressed than the time Tim restored the instrumentation of the Hydrogen unit. If it wasn’t for Tim’s tireless knowledge and effort that unit would not have been restored in the time that it was. But most of all I’ll never forget the kindness and warmth that Tim treated with everyone.
