Paul Aquinas Paffrath, 62, of Billings died January 23, 2026. Paul was born on July 25, 1963, in Billings, MT, to Bennett O. and Charlene (Adams) Paffrath.
Paul grew up on Clark Ave and attend Billings schools (Burlington and Lewis and Clark), graduating from Billings West High School in 1981. He resided in Billings his entire life. Paul loved to hunt, fish and be outdoors. His most favorite time of the year was hunting season. He just couldn’t wait to go hunting with his cousins from Great Falls. Paul had a difficult life and although he tried to find a way out of substance abuse, in the end he was unable to do so.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Denise C. Paffrath and aunts (Frances K Paffrath, Delores Paffrath, Carol Zoglio) and uncles (Gerry, Harlan and Darwin Paffrath) and cousin Lori Paffrath.
He is survived by his son, Garrett Paffrath of Corning, CA, his brother Karl Paffrath of Billings; sister Deanne (Dale) Munson, and their daughter Kimberly (James) of Billings. Uncle Norman Paffrath of Bemidji MN. Cousins Robin (Don) Charron, Terry, David, Joel, Karah Paffrath of Great Falls MT; Dawn (David) Majerus, sons Eric (Meghan) and Jason of Laurel MT; Paula (Denis) Pitman and their children: Patrick (Emily), Joseph, Diandra, Rene, Daniel, Emily (Gavin) and Ryan of Billings MT; Dennis (William) Paffrath-Nelson of Stewartstown PA; and Anita K. Paffrath of Billings MT. As well as the next generation of family, and countless friends!
Paul will be cremated and a graveside service will be held later this year, where he will be laid to rest next to his parents and his sister.
