Obituary
Linda Mae (Edwards) Myers, 78, of Billings, Montana, returned peacefully to her Heavenly Father on July 3, 2026. A woman of profound faith, she passed from this life to be reunited with the love of her life and husband of 49 years, Owen Lee Myers (Lee), entering into Heaven where she will now serve as a guardian angel over the family she loved so deeply.
Born in Richfield, Utah, to Don and Lucile Edwards, Linda was raised in Lyman alongside her six younger siblings: Cynthia, Jeraldine, Stella, Roy-Don, Bobby, and Russell. Her childhood was filled with happy memories of family pine nut hunts and helping her mother sew dresses for all the girls for Easter and Christmas. Her parents instilled a Christ-like work ethic that defined her entire life. After graduating from Henager’s Business College, Linda worked at Predental Federal Mobile Bank when the love of her life, Lee walked in the door one day. They both describe this moment as love at first sight and the rest is history. They married in Las Vegas on Christmas Eve, 1974.
Linda’s deep devotion to Jesus Christ was the compass of her life. As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she lovingly introduced Lee to the gospel, and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple on November 5, 1977.
Lee and Linda were an inseparable team in business and life. Together, they operated L&L Construction, managed 400 head of cattle on the Bar L-M Ranch, and ran Lee's Trees, Montana's largest retail Christmas tree company for 20 years. Alongside their son, Willard, they opened Willard’s Garage and later built ‘LinLee Lake Estates’ subdivision and West End Sand and Gravel. Linda anchored every business from the front office, all while faithfully creating the weekly bulletin for her ward and embracing the life of a rodeo hero’s wife.
Affectionately known to so many simply as "Granny Linda," her heart knew no boundaries. Early in marriage, she wrote in her diary: “I have been blessed to inherit five beautiful children: Richard (Tammie), Willard (Julie), Ernie (Dena), Missy (Jimmy), and Pam (Wally). I love these children as if they were my own.” Through the years, that love multiplied across generations. She is the proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. To them, she was the maker of the world's best French toast—a recipe made purely of love that to this day no one can replicate. Her grandchildren's favorite memories are rooted in rodeos, horses, and ranch life.
Granny Linda stepped into numerous roles throughout her life, always serving as the anchor for so many people she loved. When one of their adult children, Pam, passed away, she selflessly stepped in to become a mother to her grandchildren, witnessing every milestone and miracle of their lives. Her generosity reached far beyond her immediate family; she kept her door permanently open for anyone navigating a hard time, providing a safe haven, a warm bed, and a comforting, home-cooked meal to anyone who needed it. She was the one who would always offer a shoulder to cry on, smile proudly at every accomplishment, watch with joy from the front row at weddings, and cradle each new baby with a special sparkle in her eye.
Her contagious laugh and the elegant scent of her White Diamonds perfume will remain beautifully etched in our hearts forever. We rejoice in the knowledge that she is resting in the arms of her Savior and holding Lee's hand once again.
