John was my dad. He served in the air force during Vietnam. He and my mom were stationed at Travis Air Force base in California. I was a true "love child ". It was 1969, No other details necessary. They weren't married, but according to both, had a very memorable night . The product of their union was me. I found them both later in my life because, without his knowledge, I was put up for adoption . It was a very positive reunion. But the relationship that grew from my dad finding out was more then anything I could ever have imagined/hoped for. Discovering him to be my dad changed so much in my life. He was my best friend. We loved each other no matter what we had done/accomplished in our lives. He will be forever missed. I love you dad. So very very much.

John is my dad. I have known him and love him because he is my dad and my friend. I got to know him and live with him when I see him, I see me . I have a lot of really good times with him. I know that he loves me too because he shows me and tells me a lot about respect and intelligence. While I wasn't able to attend the funeral I have a lot of respect for him giving me his acknowledgement as the father of me helps so much through my life having that is the motivation I have to be myself and make him and my mother Jacquiline Wilson Kalibor Sparboe Robinson, proud.
